HB 1365

(Relating to authorizing the possession, use, cultivation, processing, distribution, transportation, and delivery of medical cannabis for medical use by patients with certain debilitating medical conditions and the licensing of dispensing organizations and testing facilities; authorizing a fee.)

Filed by Texas State Representative Eddie Lucio III, House Bill 1365 would allow patients to access medical marijuana for conditions like cancer, autism, epilepsy, and PTSD, and has bipartisan support. It expands on the existing Compassionate Use law, which only allows low THC oil for patients with intractable epilepsy. While we believe patient’s access to medical cannabis should be determined by their physicians and not government officials, this bill would be a great starting point.

We as Texans need to let their representatives know that we want medical cannabis access for patients.
